Fast-growing events firm installs motivational video wall

The video wall is a key part of an open-plan trading floor-style environment for the sales team at the Nineteen Group and forms part of an AV upgrade by Runtech taking in multiple Teams Rooms.

Systems integrator Runtech has teamed up with The Bluum Group to fit out the expanded HQ of one of the UK’s fastest-growing events businesses.

The project involved upgrading the AV systems for Nineteen Group’s sales floor, six meeting rooms, town hall, boardroom and multimedia room when the company moved into additional floors of its south-west London offices.

The company’s main requirement was the creation of an open-plan trade floor-style environment to increase the motivation of its sales team. Runtech achieved this by installing a four by two video wall using 49” LG screens that displays the team’s statistics.

The video wall, which runs on a BrightSign XC5 signage player connected to two Bluestream 4K seamless matrix switchers, can also display customised content. A BrightSign cloud subscription provides Nineteen Group with a cloud-based digital signage management solution.

Nineteen Group also wanted anybody to be able to walk into a meeting room or the main boardroom and start a Microsoft Teams call. The company stipulated that the technology in the boardroom should be usable in a modular capacity with native Teams and that its existing Teams room kit be repurposed.

As Nineteen Group also streams its own podcast, a green screen was requested for one of the rooms.

The boardroom features a 65” display and the Logitech Rally Plus system. Two Logitech Rally Mic pods have been ceiling mounted to support any room configuration.

Each meeting room has been equipped with a 49” LG displays, the Poly X30 and TC8 touchscreens to facilitate videoconferencing. In the rooms that required display only, an HDMI runs from the screen to table for presentations.

In the multimedia room, Runtech provided a 2m by 1.5m hydraulic rollbar green screen for use during podcast recording sessions.

In the town hall space, which is used for social events and company-wide meetings, Runtech also installed an 86” LG screen. Six QSC ceiling mounted pendant speakers are connected to a Cloud MA-60 amplifier that can play from two separate audio channels: from an iPad using Spotify, connecting to the amplifier via a Bluetooth audio adapter; and from a laptop, when presenting.
