The Cosmos Performance and City Hall in the Maratpasa quarter of Turkish coastal city Antalya is currently staging an immersive choreography and projection show described as a “kaleidoscopic journey through the universe”.

Performances of Andy, devised by director Igor Rudnik, follow a four-course meal, with the two elements combining to present a ‘dinner theatre’ experience at the venue billed as a “unique synthesis of art, gastronomy, entertainment and technology”.

The performance system at the Cosmos Performance and City Hall, which is part of the Nirvana Cosmopolitan resort, comprises 30 NEC 20,000 lumen projectors and multiple cameras installed by local integrator Atempo Group.

The installation is run by four VIOSO Anystation Media Octo servers, which are used for media playback. The latest version of the manufacturer’s projection software, VIOSO 6 SIM, is being used with Pixera VIOSO 64-bit system real-time 3D media processing, compositing and management system to calibrate the servers. Previsualisation is provided through a PIXERA director licence.

Atempo’s Ozan Ayaz explained that the venue operator wanted video to be projected on to the ceiling and walls at the same time as the audio, video and light show on stage, which features a futuristic set and 3D visuals.
