A new drone light show which is said to be the first to tell the story of evolution will take place in two cities in the UK next month.

Created by local experience company Yuup and drone light show specialist Celestial, the Evolution show can be seen at Wolverhampton Racecourse, on 14 December, and at the Seat Unique Stadium, in Bristol, on 21 December.

The narrated show will start with the Big Bang, guiding the audience through the origins of life on Earth, from single-cell organisms and dinosaurs to the diverse fauna of today.

In addition to the main show – which will be accompanied by an original cinematic soundtrack – eventgoers can enjoy fairground rides and a food village.

Celestial’s track record includes drone shows at events such as this year’s Eurovision Song Contest and London’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.

John Hopkins, Celestial’s co-founder and chief creative officer said: “Evolution has been three years in the making. This is so much more than a drone light show; it’s an experience with stadium scale, created to bring audiences together using a new medium to tell the story of time.”
