More than 70% of the Fortune 500 list of America’s biggest companies now use Microsoft Teams Rooms, as revenue growth on the platform more than doubled year on year again this quarter.

The figure was revealed by Microsoft vice president Nicole Herskowitz as the company published its Q4 financial results.

Teams Premium, which launched in February, has already surpassed 600,000 seats, at organisations such as BNY Mellon, Clifford Chance, PepsiCo, and Starbucks.

The Teams platform itself also has more than 1,900 associated apps in the app store and over 145,000 custom line-of-business apps built by companies such as British Airways, dentsu, Eli Lilly Company and Manulife.

Microsoft Teams Phone is now the market leader in cloud calling, with more than 17m PSTN users, up over 45% year on year.

Writing on LinkedIn, Herskowitz added: “Teams grew share in every category – from collaboration, to chat, to meetings, to calling – as we help organisations reduce costs with a three-year ROI of over 290%.”
