Europe’s biggest private IT firm SCC acquires Visavvi

SCC, Europe’s biggest privately-owned IT services firm, has acquired AV integrator Visavvi, the AV integration arm of the Saville Group.

SCC AVS was formed in 2018 following the merger of SCC’s AV business with avsnet. The acquisition of Visavvi will build on organic growth achieved in the past three years – SCC AVS has more than doubled in size since 2020 – by adding wider breadth in the traditional AV market and enabling a larger focus on growth areas, such as digital workplace solutions accelerated by new hybrid working models.

The acquisition of Visavvi, which will trade as ‘Visavvi, an SCC business’, brings with it 130 skilled AV employees and deepen its specialisms across the commercial and private sectors, including in education, where SCC has just been appointed an inaugural Panel Member on an enFrame ICT Framework and will deliver solutions to UK multi-academy trusts for the first time.

Andy Dyson remains as managing director of Visavvi, alongside directors Colin Etchells and Ann Pickard who are joined in the boardroom by Graham Fry and Mark Nutter (CFO, SCC). Steve Rigby, co-chief executive of the Rigby Group, SCC’s parent company, chairs the new board.
