Austrian company AV Stumpfl has opened a London office that will be dedicated to Pixera. The family-run business decided to open the base as a result of its real-time media server platform having become a household name in high-end virtual production and general film production circles this year, in addition to its growing popularity in the field of live-event touring and musical productions. Pixera executive director Harry Gladow said: “Our local roots in Austria are very strong, but we have always had a global mindset with regard to our vision for the worldwide Pixera community.

“Opening an office in such a creative entertainment hotspot makes absolute sense, now that our user community has grown so much that we need the local presence to support our organic growth strategy in the UK.”The Pixera office in Uxbridge, west London, will be run by AV Stumpfl’s new UK managing director and industry veteran, Craig Harrower. “When Pixera 1.0 was released in 2019, there was a lot of scepticism in the UK market as to whether the industry really needed another approach to media server systems,” he said.

“Four years later, the answer is a resounding ‘yes’, and I am looking forward to helping our fast-growing UK user community realise their full potential.”
