London accountancy firm Lubbock Fine has upgraded its largest meeting room for Microsoft Teams Room functionality, featuring a Yamaha wireless sound system working in conjunction with a Logitech Rally camera set-up. The installation was carried out by IT, telecoms and conferencing integrator Pinnacle working with audio specialist Audiologic,

Like many other corporate businesses, Lubbock Fine was looking to accommodate new hybrid ways of working for its staff, as well as facilitating remote meetings with clients. With the aim of creating a conference facility that was flexible in terms of layout and could be operated easily without the need for full-time on-site technical support, the company began looking for suitable technologies.

The starting point was the Logitech Rally videoconferencing camera, which was selected due to its compatibility with Lubbock Fine’s existing room booking display system. The next step was the audio system. After discussions with Audiologic, a Yamaha ADECIA wireless package was selected, primarily as it is certified for Microsoft Teams, in addition to providing Dante audio over IP (AoIP) connectivity.

The full Yamaha ADECIA installation comprises: a RM-CR ADECIA signal conference processor, RM-WCH-8 microphone charging station, RM-WAP-8 8-channel wireless access point, two RM-WOM omni-directional wireless tabletop microphones, two VXL Slim Dante power over Ethernet (PoE) speakers and a SWR23 intelligent L2 network switch with PoE.

“Yamaha ADECIA simplifies installation, configuration, and room acoustic challenges by providing all the essential components for a smooth installation, set-up and operation,” comments Jess Raraty, business manager at Audiologic. “With the flexibility to choose between gooseneck and boundary microphones, you can create the most comfortable space, from standard board rooms to dynamic design labs and open spaces, without worrying about rewiring should the layout change.”

Mitch Tuff, sales team leader at Pinnacle, adds, “The Yamaha ADECIA wireless microphone system met our customer’s requirements perfectly. The charging base enhances the user experience – microphones automatically activate when removed from the base and deactivate upon return, ensuring optimal audio quality. It also streamlines microphone management, preventing misplacements and the need for manual charging.”
